Elbit Systems has announced that it has been selected by Rheinmetall Canada to provide an off-board Electronic Counter Measure (ECM) payload for the Royal Canadian Navy’s (RCN) Hammerhead Unmanned Surface Vessel (USV). The USVs are being equipped with the payloads as part of the RCN’s Naval Off-Board Anti-Missile Active Decoy (NOMAD) Program, which aims to develop jamming capabilities against anti-ship missile threats. Rheinmetall Canada is the prime contractor on the project.
